Your images are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your designs are saved on your own device.

This is the working surface. Everything else in this section exists to get you here, because this is where a design actually gets made.

The canvas is the real size of the output — 1080 × 1350, 1080 × 1920, or whichever size you pick — shown scaled to fit your screen. What you see is the design at its true proportions, and the export re-renders it at full resolution rather than capturing the screen. That is why a download really is 1080 × 1350 pixels, and why the same design exports identically from a phone and a desktop.

How to use this tool

  1. Open a template from the library, or start here with a blank design and choose one from the template panel. A template chosen from the library arrives already applied.
  2. Click any text on the canvas to select it, then double-click to type over it. The properties panel shows the typeface, weight, size and colour for whatever is selected.
  3. Add your own image by dropping it on the canvas or choosing it in the background panel. It is fitted into the frame without being stretched, and it is never uploaded.
  4. Switch size at any point with the format selector. The layout is re-fitted at the new proportions and your text is kept, so a square post can become a portrait post or a story without being redrawn.
  5. Undo anything with Ctrl + Z, or the buttons in the top bar. Download as PNG or JPEG at exactly the size in the panel.

Frequently asked questions

Is the exported file really the full size?

Yes. The export re-renders the design at its true dimensions rather than screenshotting the page, so a 1080 × 1350 design produces a 1080 × 1350 file even though the canvas on screen is smaller.

What happens if my headline is too long?

The type shrinks slightly, down to a floor. If it still does not fit, the panel says so and tells you what to do, rather than quietly cutting the words off. Every shipped template is also checked at every size it is offered for.

Can I undo a change?

Yes — every edit is on the undo stack, including switching template, switching size, and moving or resizing an element. Ctrl + Z undoes, Ctrl + Shift + Z redoes.

Is my work saved if I reload?

The design is saved in your browser as you work, so a reload brings it back. A photograph you added cannot be restored that way, because it is never uploaded and the browser does not keep the file — you would add it again. Saving designs and images to a ToolDuck account, with a dashboard for projects, uploads and exports, is the next piece of this product.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The panels move below the canvas and become full width on a narrow screen, and the canvas stays the dominant thing on the page.
