Contact us
Questions, bug reports and ideas are all welcome. One thing to know first: because your files are processed on your own device, we have never seen them.
The fastest way to reach us is email: contact@toolduck.in. We read everything, and we usually reply within two working days.
Reporting a problem
If a tool did not do what you expected, it helps enormously if you tell us:
- which tool you were using, and roughly when;
- the browser and operating system (for example, Safari 17 on macOS);
- what you expected to happen, and what happened instead;
- the exact wording of any message the page showed you.
Please do not send us the file itself. It is not that we mind — it is that the whole design of this site is that your files stay with you, and we would rather not start asking for them. A description of the problem is nearly always enough.
If a document was not read properly
Scanned resumes and exports that draw text as shapes have no text layer, so the resume builder reads them by rasterising the page and recognising the text on your device. That is a best guess at what the pixels said, so check the result before you use it. If the reading looks wrong, pasting the text instead is always more reliable.
If a tool told you the file could not be read at all, that message is usually accurate: the file genuinely has no text to read. Exporting a fresh PDF from Word, Google Docs or the resume builder itself will normally fix it.
Ideas and requests
We build tools that run entirely in the browser, which rules a few things out — anything needing a server to hold your data is not going to happen here. Within that constraint, suggestions are genuinely useful. Tell us what you were trying to do, not just the tool you have in mind; the underlying problem often has a better answer.
Things we cannot help with
We cannot recover or restore a file: no copies exist on our side. We cannot retrieve a resume you were editing, because it is saved in your own browser's storage and cleared when you clear your browser data. And we cannot look up an earlier version of a document.
