Your app screenshots are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your project is saved on your own device.
The hard part of an iPhone screenshot is not the design, it is the frame. A phone drawn at the wrong aspect ratio is the most obvious sign that a screenshot was not made properly, and it happens because a frame is usually a picture of one specific model that goes stale the moment a new phone ships.
Here the frame is drawn from the device\u2019s own proportions and contains no artwork and no model-specific detail. It cannot be the wrong shape, and it cannot be out of date. The screen inside it is your screenshot, fitted to fill without being stretched.
How to use this tool
- Choose the iPhone display size. 6.9" at 1320 × 2868 is the set App Store Connect asks for.
- Add your app screenshots by dragging them onto the canvas, one per screen of the sequence.
- Rewrite the captions. Double-click a caption on the canvas to type over it. Keep it short — the App Store displays these small.
- Switch to landscape if the app is landscape, and the composition reflows while the output becomes the landscape pair.
- Export. Every screen is rendered at the full target size and they arrive together in a zip.
Portrait and landscape
Portrait is the layout a template is authored in, and the orientation shoppers see first. Landscape is supported too: the composition reflows — text into the left column, device into the right — and the type scales to the narrower measure instead of staying at its portrait size and overflowing.
The switch is one control, and the output dimensions change to the landscape pair for that display class, so a landscape set is recomposed rather than stretched.
Older sizes
The 5.5" set at 1242 × 2208 is selectable and marked legacy. The 3.5" and 4" classes are not offered at all. They are kept out of the way rather than removed, because an app that still ships to older devices may genuinely need one — and a target used by almost nobody should not sit in the middle of the list.
Why the source image matters
A screenshot can only be as sharp as the image you put in it. If your source screen is narrower than the area it has to fill, it is upscaled and the result looks soft at full size — which is noticeable in a store listing, where images are viewed large.
The Export tab checks this and tells you the width the output needs, so you can capture a larger source if you have one rather than discovering the problem after the upload.
Frequently asked questions
What size are iPhone App Store screenshots?
1320 × 2868 for the 6.9" display, which is the set App Store Connect asks for. The 6.3" set is 1206 × 2622 and the 6.1" set is 1179 × 2556.
Does the device frame match the real phone?
Yes, because it is drawn from the device\u2019s aspect ratio rather than being a picture of a particular model. There is no device artwork to go out of date or be the wrong shape.
Can I use my own app screenshots?
Yes — that is the point. Add your screens by dragging them in or choosing them from your device, and they are fitted into the frame without being stretched. If a source image is too small for the output size, the editor says so rather than letting you find out later.
Do I need Photoshop or Figma?
No. The templates supply the composition, the editor supplies the text and the background, and the export runs at the target size. Nothing needs installing and nothing needs designing from scratch.
Can iPhone screenshots be landscape?
Yes. Switch the orientation and the output becomes 2868 × 1320 for the 6.9" class, with the composition reflowed rather than rotated.
