Every template is free and renders for every device listed above. Pick one, add your app screens, change the captions, and export.

Your app screenshots are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your project is saved on your own device.

Google Play is not a table of fixed sizes the way App Store Connect is. It sets a band — each side between 320 and 3840 pixels, aspect no wider than 2:1, between two and eight screenshots per device type — and lets you choose inside it. That freedom is the trap: a size outside the band is rejected, and a size that is merely unusual looks different from every listing around it.

The presets here are common, well-tested sizes inside the band, and the limits are printed beside them so you can see why rather than take it on trust.

How to use this tool

  1. Open the editor with a Google Play target and pick the device: Android phone, or the 7" or 10" tablet size.
  2. Add your app screenshots. They are fitted into an Android frame drawn at the device\u2019s real proportions, so a tablet screenshot does not become a stretched phone.
  3. Edit the captions on the canvas. Google Play shows up to eight per device type, so decide which two or three are the opening pitch.
  4. Switch the target to Feature graphic for the banner. It is exactly 1024 × 500, and the editor marks the area Play may crop.
  5. Export the screens and the graphic. They render at full size and arrive in one zip.

What Google Play requires

  • Each side of a screenshot between 320 and 3840 pixels.
  • Aspect ratio no wider than 2:1 in either direction.
  • Between two and eight screenshots per device type.
  • PNG or JPEG.
  • A feature graphic of exactly 1024 × 500, one per listing.

The feature graphic is not a screenshot

It sits at the top of the listing, and Play crops and overlays it differently depending on where it appears — a search result is not a full listing, and a promotional placement is neither. Only the middle band is guaranteed to be visible, which is why the editor marks that safe area and keeps the important part of the design inside it.

Keep the app name, the one line that explains it, and nothing else. Anything in the outer edges will be cropped somewhere.

Tablet listings

Play shows different screenshot sets on phones, 7" tablets and 10" tablets, and a listing with no tablet screenshots looks unfinished on a tablet. Both tablet targets are here, and one template renders for each without a second design.

Other Play categories — Chromebook, Wear OS, Android TV and Automotive, and Android XR — are deliberately not offered. They are recorded in the specification configuration so adding one is a single edit, but they are not exposed until their requirements have been verified rather than assumed.

Frequently asked questions

What size should Android screenshots be?

Google Play accepts any size where each side is between 320 and 3840 pixels with an aspect ratio no wider than 2:1. 1080 × 1920 is the most widely used phone size and is the default preset here.

What size is the Google Play feature graphic?

1024 × 500 pixels, one per listing, in PNG or JPEG with no transparency.

How many screenshots can I upload to Google Play?

Between two and eight per device type. The editor enforces that for a Google Play project, and up to ten when you switch to an App Store target.

Why are Chromebook, Wear OS and Android TV not available?

Because their requirements have not been verified here, and offering a size we have not checked is worse than offering one fewer size. They are recorded in the specification configuration, so adding one later is a single edit.

Can I make tablet screenshots as well?

Yes. The 7" and 10" targets are both selectable, and the same template renders for each — the composition adapts to the canvas rather than being resized.
