Your app screenshots are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your project is saved on your own device.

An iOS listing needs screenshots at exact pixel sizes, one set per display class, with no transparency. That is the entire specification, and it is why most App Store screenshot problems turn out to be sizing problems: a design that looks right at 1179 × 2556 is the wrong picture at 1320 × 2868, and a store will take it anyway.

This is a screenshot maker rather than a resizer. The display size is chosen first, and the composition is built for it — so nothing is exported at a size it was not designed for, and nothing is upscaled to reach one. The 6.9" set at 1320 × 2868 is the one App Store Connect asks for.

How to use this tool

  1. Open the editor with an App Store target selected and choose the iPhone display size — 6.9" unless you have a reason to pick another.
  2. Add your app screenshots. Each one is fitted into an iPhone frame drawn at the phone\u2019s real aspect ratio, so nothing is stretched and the frame cannot be the wrong shape.
  3. Edit the captions by double-clicking them on the canvas. Keep them to a few words: the App Store shows these at a fraction of their exported size.
  4. Repeat for as many screens as you need — up to ten per display size on the App Store — then export them all at once as a zip at full size.

Which iPhone size should you export?

The 6.9" set is the one App Store Connect asks for, and it is the set Apple scales down for older iPhones — so if you are making one iPhone set, make that one. The 6.3" and 6.1" sets exist for people who want the caption and the composition tuned per device rather than scaled.

The iPad 13" set is not optional if the app runs on iPad. It is the requirement people miss, and it is also the set that punishes a portrait-only design, because a 4:3 canvas is a fundamentally different space from a 19.5:9 one.

What App Store Connect will not accept

  • Any transparency. Screenshots with an alpha channel are rejected, so flatten anything with a cut-out before exporting.
  • More than ten screenshots per display size.
  • Sizes that do not match the display class exactly. Each class is a specific pixel count, not a ratio you can approximate.
  • Formats other than PNG and JPEG.

Landscape

An iPhone screenshot may be landscape, and the dimensions change with the orientation — 2868 × 1320 rather than 1320 × 2868 for the 6.9" class. Switching orientation in the editor reflows the composition and changes the output size together, so a landscape set is recomposed rather than rotated.

Frequently asked questions

What size should iPhone App Store screenshots be?

1320 × 2868 for the 6.9" display, which is the set App Store Connect asks for. The 6.3" set is 1206 × 2622 and the 6.1" set is 1179 × 2556. All three are selectable targets here and the export renders at exactly those pixels.

Can I make iPad screenshots too?

Yes. The 13" set at 2064 × 2752 and the 11" set at 1668 × 2388 are both targets, and the 13" set is required if your app runs on iPad.

Do I have to upload my screenshots anywhere?

No. The screens you add are read, composed and encoded inside your browser. Nothing is transmitted, which is why the editor keeps working if your connection drops after the page loads.

Can I export the whole set at once?

Yes. Exporting all screens renders each at the full target size and returns them together in one zip, numbered 01, 02 and so on in listing order.

Is the device frame a picture of a specific iPhone?

No, deliberately. The frame is drawn from the device\u2019s proportions rather than from artwork of one model, so it cannot go stale when a new iPhone ships and it cannot be the wrong shape.
