Your app screenshots are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your project is saved on your own device.

If an app runs on iPad, App Store Connect requires an iPad screenshot set — and it is the requirement people miss, because the iPhone set is the one they were concentrating on. It is also the set that punishes a portrait-only design, because a 4:3 canvas is a different space from the tall 19.5:9 one an iPhone uses.

Templates here are composed on fractional coordinates with the device contained inside a rectangle, so the same template adapts to a 4:3 canvas with its hierarchy and spacing intact — rather than being stretched, padded or letterboxed to fit.

How to use this tool

 1. Choose an iPad display size. The 13" set at 2064 × 2752 is the one App Store Connect asks for.
 2. Add your app screenshots. The frame is drawn at the iPad’s own 4:3 proportions, so the device does not look like a stretched phone.
 3. Edit the captions. A 4:3 canvas is wider than a phone canvas, so a caption can run to a slightly longer line without feeling cramped.
 4. Pick landscape if the app is landscape — 2752 × 2064 for the 13" class — and the composition reflows for the wider canvas.
 5. Export the set. Every screen renders at full target size and comes back in one zip.

Why a portrait iPhone design does not simply resize

A 1320 × 2868 canvas is 0.46 times as wide as it is tall. A 2064 × 2752 iPad canvas is 0.75. A headline that fills the width of one takes a very different share of the other, and a device frame that fills two thirds of the height leaves a completely different amount of room.

The engine handles this by sizing type against the canvas’s shorter side and placing the device inside a containing rectangle. A 4:3 canvas therefore keeps the same visual hierarchy as the portrait one: the headline carries the same weight, the device keeps its real aspect ratio, and the whitespace stays intentional rather than accidental.

Landscape iPad

An iPad screenshot may be landscape, and the 13" landscape pair is 2752 × 2064. Selecting landscape reflows the composition and changes the output dimensions together, so the design is recomposed rather than rotated.

The frame is a tablet, not a phone

A common giveaway that a screenshot was made badly is a device frame at the wrong proportion — usually a phone shape used on a tablet canvas. Here the frame’s proportions come from the selected device, so an iPad target draws an iPad shape, and the 11" and 13" sets differ from each other in exactly the way the real devices do.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need iPad screenshots for the App Store?

Yes, if your app runs on iPad. App Store Connect requires an iPad screenshot set, and the 13" display size at 2064 × 2752 is the one it asks for.

What size are iPad screenshots?

2064 × 2752 for 13", 2048 × 2732 for 12.9", 1668 × 2388 for 11" and 1640 × 2360 for 10.9". All four are selectable targets, and the export renders at exactly those pixels.

Can I use the same design on iPhone and iPad?

Yes. One template renders for both, and the composition adapts to each canvas rather than being resized. Change the target and the design is recomposed for it.

Can iPad screenshots be landscape?

Yes. Switch the orientation to landscape and the output becomes the landscape pair for that display class — 2752 × 2064 for the 13" iPad.

Is the iPad frame a picture of an iPad Pro?

No. It is drawn from the device’s proportions rather than from artwork of one model, which is why it cannot go out of date and why the 11" and 13" sets differ in the right way.
