Fit

Your app screenshots are read, composed and exported inside your browser. They are never uploaded to our server, and your project is saved on your own device.

This is the working surface. Everything else in this section — the templates, the sizes, the store pages — exists to get you here, because this is where a screenshot set actually gets made.

A project opens with a template already applied and a sequence of screens matching that template. You choose the store and the device size, add your app screens, rewrite the captions, and export. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and the work is saved in your own browser so a reload does not lose it.

How to use this tool

 1. Choose the store first, then the device and size. The canvas becomes the exact pixel dimensions of that target, so everything you see is what you are designing for.
 2. Add your app screenshots by dragging them onto the canvas or choosing them from your device. One is placed per screen, in order, and each is fitted into the device frame without being stretched.
 3. Edit the captions. Double-click any text on the canvas to type over it, or use the Text panel. The rail on the left is the sequence: drag to reorder, and the arrow keys move between screens.
 4. Adjust the design. Background, typeface, text colour and device frame all apply to every screen unless you switch a control to “this screen”, in which case the rail marks that screen as custom.
 5. Switch to the Export tab, check the resolution it reports, and export. One screen downloads as an image; several arrive together in a zip, rendered at the full target size.

How the export is produced

The file is not a screenshot of this page. The design is redrawn on an offscreen canvas at the target size and encoded there, so the output cannot inherit a zoom level, a scroll position, a window size or your screen’s pixel density. That matters more than it sounds: a screenshot of an editor is the right picture at the wrong resolution, and a store will accept it anyway, which is how listings end up with soft images nobody can explain.

It also means the pixels you asked for are the pixels you get. Choose the 6.9" iPhone target and the file is 1320 × 2868 — not 1320 × 2868 after being scaled from something else.

Exporting several screens renders each one at the full target size and returns them in a single zip.

One template, every device

Templates are not drawn at a fixed size. Their geometry is expressed in fractions, and type is sized against the canvas’s shorter side, so the same template keeps its proportions whether it lands on a 1320 × 2868 iPhone, a 2064 × 2752 iPad or a 1080 × 1920 Android phone.

The device frame is placed as a containing rectangle and drawn at the device’s own aspect ratio, so an iPad screenshot shows a tablet shape rather than a stretched phone. And because the frame contains no artwork of any particular model, a new phone shipping does not make it look wrong.

What it does not do

It does not generate app screens for you. The screenshots are your own screens; this composes them into a store listing. There is no mock-up generator, no AI caption writer and no image generation here, and nothing on this page pretends otherwise.

It also does not upload to App Store Connect or Google Play. Exporting gives you the files at the right sizes and formats; the upload is yours to make, which is why it works just as well for a listing that is already live and needs a refresh.

Frequently asked questions

Is my work saved if I close the tab?

Your project is stored in this browser’s local database, so reloading or coming back later restores it. Your uploaded screenshots are stored the same way — in your browser, not on our server. Downloading the project as a file is what lets you move it to another device.

Are my screenshots uploaded?

No. They are decoded, composed and encoded inside the tab. Nothing carries a screenshot off your device, which is also why the editor keeps working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.

Can I edit the text on the canvas itself?

Yes. Double-click any text block and type over it — there is no need to find the matching field in a panel. Every canvas gesture also has a labelled control in the panel, because a canvas is not reachable with a keyboard.

Can I change one screen without changing the rest?

Yes. Settings apply to every screen by default, and switching a control to “this screen” overrides it for that one. The rail marks any screen carrying an override, so a set that has drifted apart is visible rather than hidden.

What happens if my source screenshot is too small?

The export tells you before you commit. If the image is much smaller than the area it has to fill, the Export tab names the width the output needs and says the result may look soft, rather than quietly upscaling it.

Can I use it on a phone or tablet?

Template browsing and the landing pages work anywhere. The studio is a design application and is built for a desktop or a large tablet; on a narrow screen the panels stack into a single column so it remains usable, but the canvas is small.
